Linoleum cut printed in orange and black on soft, textured artificial Japan paper, 1988. 455x330 mm; 17 3/4x13 inches, full margins. Signed, titled, dated and numbered 20/40 in pencil, lower margin. A very good, dark impression.
Wells'' later works show an increased interest in African culture, particularlyin the late 1960s, after his travels through West Africa with his son, a Time-Life photographer and after his retirement from Howard University.
