- Notes: first edition in english of the Greek version of the liturgy associated with the early Church of Jerusalem, which the Scottish Episcopal Bishop Rattray (1684-1743) wished to make the basis for the Scottish communion office. Traditionally ascribed to St. James, the first Patriarch of Jerusalem, the liturgy in its Syriac form is still used by the Syrian Orthodox Churches.
