Engraving, 1604. 555x395 mm; 21 3/4x15 5/8 inches. Second state (of 2). Small coat-of-arms with a jug watermark. Ex-collection Emile Laffon (?), ink stamp with the initials E. L. (see Lugt 877a, verso). Trimmed on the plate mark. A superb, richly-inked impression of this important Mannerist engraving, with very strong contrasts and no sign of wear. Bartsch 69; Hollstein 59.
