JEAN-ÉMILE LABOUREUR Femme qui se peigne.

JEAN-ÉMILE LABOUREUR
Femme qui se peigne.

Oil on canvas, circa 1900-05. 560x510 mm; 22x20 inches.

Laboureur was clearly influenced by Toulouse-Lautrec's same-titled color lithograph from Elles, 1896 (Delteil 186). Several prints from the artist's own woodcut series Toilettes from 1907 are also similar in style and composition, as well as another closely-related painting Toilette: Les Cheveux , from 1906 (Laboureur 69).
