Black chalk and brown wash on cream laid paper. 203x320 mm; 8x12 5/8 inches. J. Honig & Zoonen watermark. Ex-collection Christian Gottfried Matthes (see Lugt 2871) and unknown collector, red ink stamp with the letter G in a square verso (not in Lugt). Numbered XXVII in ink, lower right recto (according to an inscription on the verso, this refers to the 28th poem in K. W. Ramler's poetic works, Berlin 1800-1).
