Founded by Albert I, Prince of Monaco, an avid oceanographer, the Monaco Aquarium was constructed in 1910. Built into the side of a cliff right above the sea, the aquarium and museum are renowned for having had Jacques Cousteau serve as the director for a number of years. Riviera 475.
