Np, circa 1850 E350/500 "Origins of the term 'Jim Crow' are obscure, and many theories have been put forth regarding it One possibly factual account is that of Thomas "Daddy" Rice, (1808-60) a minstrel performer, who saw a black named Jim Crow or Crowe (a partial cripple) entertain other workers between duties at Thomas Crowe's Livery Stable located on Third Street in Louisville, Kentucky, about 1830."-W.
