  • Condition: Joe Conzo's pair of photographs "Tony Tone and Easy AD of the Cold Crush Brothers, Norman Thomas High School boat ride" and "JDL (Jerry Dee Lewis) and Grandmaster Caz at Club Negril, New York" are energetic and lively photographs boasting vibrant contrast and are overall in excellent condition.

Under very close inspection in strong raking light it is possible to see a minor handling mark in the first photograph depicted in the catalog visible in the background figure's left arm. This is largely obscured by the graphic quality of the image and is likely to go unnoticed under typical viewing conditions. Under close inspection, the second photograph does not appear to display visible flaws.

Along the bottom of the far left margin of the first photograph, there is a bit of residue visible, however, this is unable to be seen when the work is matted and does not impact the overall presentation of the work. Otherwise, the margins and verso of the first and second photographs are clean and bright with Conzo's signature and edition notation A/P in ink on recto of both.

Conzo was dubbed by the New York Times as "the man who took hip hop's baby pictures."
