JONAS LIE ON THE JOB FOR VICTORY. Circa 1918
A bustling shipyard scene in which at least four new ships are under construction. With the Emergency Fleet Corporation rushing to put as many ships into the water as possible at the outset of World War I, this image, with its impressive display of technological might must have struck pride in the hearts of American workingmen. This is the larger of two sizes. Rawls p. 186-87, Theofiles 270, Borkan p. 57.
