A fisherman with a full net on the banks of the Danube advertising an International Fishing Exhibition in Vienna. Auchentaller joined the the Secessionist movement in 1898, and designed several posters in the Secession style. In writing about a different poster that Auchentaller designed for a lottery, Koschatzky and Kossatz describe an identical artistic style as employed here: "The effect of depth given by the overalpping and shortening of the numerous [gray] surfaces is counteracted by the regularity of the color surfaces" (Vienna Secession p. 100).
