Paris' premiere horror theatre, the Grand Guignol terrified patrons from 1897-1962. Fake blood, eyeballs from animal carcasses delivered daily by local butchers, violence, sex and mayhem entertained everyone from the crowned heads of Europe to Montmartre's local population. The theatre was Paris' biggest tourist attraction until the Eiffel Tower was constructed!
