For this design Cheret uses his old palette, with red and blue being the dominant colors, against a dark, gradated background. Completed with a free-hand drawing style and flat colors, the central image of the girl riding a horse is exquisite and the silhouettes of people riding horses in the background confirm that Cheret could have flashes of modernism.
