First edition, quarto, later issued under the title, Pallantus and Eudora with the approval of the author; this edition was printed without his consent, based on a transcript made during the performance; a clean copy with good margins, with headlines and bottom lines intact; bound in half green morocco with marbled paper boards; ex libris Edmund William Gosse, with bookplate; lacking final blank (N4), 7 3/8 x 5 1/2 in.
