Hand-colored albumen prints, 8x10 1/4 inches (20.3x26 cm.), and the reverse, mounted, all with the original tissue guards; with a caption, in English, and an inventory number on many. Oblong folio, black lacquer with gold sketched fisherman and town, and a butterfly; with Kimbei's hand stamp on the front pastedown; contemporary backstrip; all edges gilt. 1880s
