Ex libris Kurt and Else Arnhold, bookplate. Dr. jur. Kurt Arnhold (1887- 1951) was a prominent Dresden banker and patron of the arts. In 1927, his portrait was painted by renowned artist Otto Dix for a series of works commissioned by various collectors of the 1920s. (See Portrait of Banker Dr. Jur. Kurt Arnhold, 1927.
