  • Notes: "[I]n Case Mr. Mazzey's Affairs in Holland did not Make it Necessary He should go there Before Mr. Jefferson's Return, He thinks that the American Minister and Consul Might Be glad to talk with him on a plan to get some military stores in that Country--it is only an idea of the Marquis de Lafayette, But He Has thoughts one or two day's delay would not Have Any inconvenience, and in that Case takes the liberty to give this little Hint to Mr. Mazzey."
