  • Notes: first edition of a treatise on the reality of witchcraft and other occult phenomena by a Bordeaux trial judge known for his zealous prosecution of witches. Page 230 contains a passing reference to Nostradamus, noting that his ambiguous predictions can only be judged after the fact and may be interpreted to suit a variety of purposes.
