- Notes: Another "modern" contraption that advertisers were eager to convince customers they couldn't live without was this Fountain Mirror. Ten liters of water were hidden behind a mirror in a gadget that could be attached to any wall. Cheret uses eight little vignettes to illustrate this point, showing us the Fountain Mirror in various locations to help the consumer understand just how versatile this product was. He illustrates it in a young lady's room, in court, in the theatre and on a steamship! Maindron 848, Broido 1025.
