  • Notes: first edition of a satire of common lawyers modelled on the 1596 Italian comedy La Trappolaria by Giovanni Battista della Porta, which was in turn derived from Plautus. Ruggle's play was performed before King James in 1615. Greg II, L8(a); STC 21445.
