- Notes: from the collection of pare lorentz. A book maquette compiled by Alden Stevens (whose papers are at Princeton University), featuring vintage prints reflecting Lee's distinctive pictorial style. Scores of Lee's northwestern photographs, which were created from July through Sept. 1941, are housed at the Library of Congress, the repository for the Farm Security Administration archive. The binder includes Stevens' brief proposal, in which he writes: "I should like to prepare about five chapters of text to go with around 350 still pictures setting forth briefly the history of the Columbia River territory."
