Influenced partially by Eadweard Muybridge''s sequential motion studies, LeWitt''s formal, rigorous, and playful photobooks depict deceptively simple themes: cubes photographed from various angles, a sunrise, window and door frames, and a brick wall. Autobiography, LeWitt''s most well-known title, consists of more than 1,000 photographs taken of his apartment and results in a progression of objects and possessions that is both archival, elusive, and poetic.
