Cambridge: John Wilson, 1883 E350-500 Blyden 1832-1912 , diplomat, journalist and educator, was born in the West Indies of free literate 'parents. He was refused entry into 'any o 'f the American Theological Schools and instead went to Monrovia, where He remained for the majority of his life. He spoke 5 European languages as well as reading Greek, Latin and Arabic. He was the author of many works on Africa and the exploitation of both its people and resources. We.B.
