Pair of elaborated annotated companion albums compiled by a dedicated "trainspotter," with a total of 80 photographs depicting an array of Eastern European trains from the 1910s-60s, which were printed by Gerhard Ullner (Leipzig). Silver prints, 4 1/4x5 3/4 inches (10.8x14.6 cm.), mounted recto/verso, each page is captioned, in white chalk, with detailed aspects of the locomotive, including Achsfolge [wheel arrangement], Betriebsgattung [operating system], DR [Deutsche Railway], BR, plus an Archive print number, page number and other notations; with Ullner's hand stamp on verso. Oblong 4tos, decorative cloth; with the original glassine interleafing; ties. 1960s
