Doty, a title page, a list of photographs, and a fourth sheet containing a short biography and a colophon. Silver prints, 7 1/4x9 1/4 inches (18.4x23.5 cm.), and the reverse, sheet size 11x12 1/2 inches (27.9x31.8 cm.), with Jacobi's signature, in pencil, on recto; each print is matted, with a debossed number on the overmat.     According to her biographer, "Jacobi was the fourth generation of a family of photographers. Her great grandfather met Daguerre." Jacobi fled Nazi Germany in 1935, and for many decades operated a portrait studio in New York City.
