First English edition, translated into English by Henry Neville (1620-1694), folio, bound in full speckled calfskin, decorated with blind-tooled panel design in keeping with the late-17th century style; red gilt-lettered label to spine; original edges left untrimmed and unwashed; title page discolored along bottom outside corner with some slight loss repaired on verso, affecting the following several signatures to a diminishing degree; loss to bottom blank margin page 219/220; other minor stray short tears and slight marginal losses; with the three leaf catalogue of books printed for John Starkey present after the text; 12 1/4 x 7 1/2 in.
