MAGGI. Circa 1900. 50.25 x 38.875in. Imprimerie de la Cie. Maggi, [Paris]. Condition A-: light horizontal folds; minor creases in image A young girl in a red print dress is holding up a sign praising Maggi-brand bouillon against a light green and cream flowered background; lettering in blue and red. The owner of the company, Julius Maggi, hired many important graphic designers (in addition to Bouisset) to create his posters, among them Moloch, Cappiello, and Savignac. Bouisset often used children in his posters, which were so popular, that they were often reissued. This poster is a larger, later version of the original.
