Marín (1942-2007) was born in Cieza, Murcia, Spain and in his teens trained as a bullfighter. In 1962, he traveled to London and worked temporarily for Henry Moore. Marín moved to New York in 1964 and in the late 1960s began sculpture full-time, focusing especially on mobiles which were profoundly influenced by the work of Alexander Calder. In 1970, Marín had his first solo exhibition at the Alan Brown Gallery, Scarsdale.

Upon request, Swann will facilitate the shipping of purchases to out-of-town buyers at an additional charge for packing, shipping and insurance, but will not be responsible for any loss, damage or delay resulting from the packing, handling and shipping thereof.
