Orazi was born in Rome, received his artistic training at the famed Italian printing house of Ricordi, and then moved to Paris where he achieved instant success by participating in the second exhibition at Siegfried Bing's gallery L'Art Nouveau, for which he designed le Calendrier Fantastique. That same year he designed another calendar for the daily newspaper Le Gaulois. This rarely seen work is a departure from the artist's normal oeuvre, representing charmingly realistic drawings of women and decor. Orazi had a long and successful career working for La Maison Moderne, for whom he designed one of his most famous posters. After World War I Orazi did a lot of work for the movie industry, including designing the sets and costumes for Jacques Feyder's mythical film L'Atlantide.
