Vellum leaf from an illuminated Latin antiphonary with historiated initial I at beginning of first response to first lesson of Matins for the Feast of St. Augustine (August 28th), three-quarter border incorporating 2 historiated roundels in lower margin, text written in gothic script in brown ink beneath 4-line staves in red with square notation in brown, 5 lines, recto and verso. 610x415 mm, initial 188x75 mm, vignettes 80 mm in diameter; some flaking of gold surrounding initial and right roundel, minor surface wear in lower left corner of border, export stamps in lower right corner on verso.
