- Notes: Sinkankas (2400) states that this work is essentially the translation into Italian of two sections of Mariette's Traité des Pierres Gravées, 1750, and the prefatory section from Giorgio Vasari's Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, 1550, in which gem engravers are discussed. It is followed by commentaries by Giulianelli with additional names and data.
