Etching printed in black on cream wove paper, 1946. 225x334 mm; 8 3/4x13 1/4 inches, full margins. Second state (of 2), an artist's proof in this state. McCarron records only 7 known impressions, including 2 artist's proofs (this being one of them). Signed and inscribed "Trial Proof" in pencil, lower margin. A superb, well-inked impression of this extremely scarce print.
