Drypoint on cream laid Japan paper, circa 1889. 185x140 mm; 7 1/4x5 1/2 inches, full margins. Signed and inscribed "no. 1" in pencil, lower right. Ex-collection Robert Hartshorne (Lugt supplement 2215b, verso). A very good impression of this extremely scarce drypoint.

We have found only 2 other impressions at auction in the past 25 years; Breeskin cites 3 impressions in public collections. Breeskin 95.
