London: Printed by E[lizabeth] P[urslowe] for Henry Seyle, 1633.

First edition, quarto, title page dusty, reinforced along fore-edge and gutter on verso; last leaf quite dusty with paper reinforcement along gutter and fore-edge margins; F3 with large tear repaired; some spotting and water staining to contents; paper flaw to bottom margin of G4; bound in cloth boards with morocco spine; ex libris C. In this popular work by Massinger, the main character, Sir Giles Over-reach (a very popular stage villain well into the 19th century) is a personality type plucked from daily life, a departure from the more customary approach used by other playwrights of the period, who chose noble or classical figures to embody villainy in their work.
