The Fatall Dowry: A Tragedy. As it hath beene often Acted at the Private House in Blackefryers, by his Maiesties Servants.

First edition, quarto, bound in modern stiff parchment over boards, washed, trimmed closely at top, cutting into some headlines; purchased at auction in 1995, 7 1/8 x 5 1/4 in.

The Fatal Dowry was likely first performed sometime around 1619. Massinger appeared onstage in that production, along with fellow dramatist and actor Nathaniel Field (1587-1620), with whom he collaborated on the script.
