Mercury Orbit Chart MOC-4. (Mercury Atlas 8 mission.) Issued by the USAF Aeronautical Chart and Information Center for NASA. Plots all six earth orbits of the MA-8, Sigma 7 mission. Has full 360 degree longitudinal coverage, plus an overlap of 30 degrees, and latitude coverage from 45 degrees north and south from the equator. Circular plots represent the ground communication coverage areas. With special inscriptions by Astronaut Schirra at key points on the chart. Approximately 8.5x32 inches, color. USAF-ACIC, June 1962
- Notes: Inscribed and signed by Wally Schirra, bottom center: "The six orbits of Sigma Seven - Wally Schirra." The date and time of his launch: "7:15 am, 3 Oct 62" at the Cape Canaveral area and his flight time: "+ 9 h 13 m" are also inscribed near the splashdown bull's eye just northeast of Midway Island in the Pacific.
