A popular guide to Mexican parish service. Usually found bound with "Arte de el idioma mexicano" by the same author, but the present copy stands alone. Medina, Mexico 2370; Palau 219404.     Pedro de Alcántara Fernández. "Manual arreglado al ritual romano . . . de la mexicana provincia de San Diego." [24], 164 pages. 4to, contemporary vellum, moderate wear; lacking free endpapers, intermittent dampstaining and light soiling. A manual for the Discalced Franciscans of Mexico. San Diego was the order's designation, unrelated to the city in California. Medina, Mexico 3891; Palau 87952. Mexico: María de Ribera, 1748.

[6], 90 pages. 4to, contemporary vellum, minor wear, detached from text block; minor foxing, lacking the initial blank called for by Sabin. A work on the Bethlehemites, an order founded in Guatemala in 1653. "An important work on the church history of New Spain"--Sabin 68845. Medina, Mexico 4060; Palau 25413. Mexico: viuda de Joseph Bernardo Hogal, 1751.

A life of the notable 16th-century Franciscan friar in Mexico. Medina, Mexico 5312 (does not call for a plate); Palau 272984; Sabin 72520. Provenance: List & Franke's 1869 Andrade catalog, lot 2829.
