H. Nude and umbrella. Red-toned silver print(?), 13 1/2 x10 1/2 inches (34.3x26.7 cm.), tipped to a paper mount. 1930s This print is probably a "Metalchrome," Mortensen's own process. The red tones were obtained by toning the print in sepia then gold chloride. The result was crimson red that was brushed onto the surface.
