  • Notes: Jean-Léon Destiné (1918-2013), a Haitian dancer and choreographer, was an early exponent of the Afro-Caribbean dance and the culture of Candomble, Santeria, or Vou Dou, associated with it. He worked with Katherine Dunham in the 1940''s.
