  • Notes: Walter Janes (1778-1827) was a composer from Holland, MA and later Ashford, CT. This volume was his first published work, and contains 54 compositions by American composers, all but one of them first printings, with the bulk of them by Janes. Britton and Lowens, American Sacred Music Imprints 286.
