  • Notes: first edition of a textbook of experimental physics. The chapter on electricity contains a description of the Leiden Jar, the first electrical condenser, invented independently some 2 years earlier by Musschenbroek and Ewald Georg von Kleist. At the end is a 14-page priced catalogue of scientific instruments made by Jan van Musschenbroek, the author's brother. DSB IX, 596.
