MYSTERIOUS CRYSTAL BELL. This fine vintage crystal bell is operated by a single thread which controls a copper clapper which strikes the appropriate number of a chosen card, or answers "yes" or "no" to questions posed by members of the audience. 4 3/4 inches in diameter (12 cm). France, circa 1860.
