NASA Lunar Chart, (LPC-1). Features two hemispherical views above the north and south lunar poles to 45 degrees latitude. The lower section of the chart provides a complete 360 degree equatorial view between 45 degrees latitude, north and south. One of the earliest NASA Apollo charts that provides complete coverage of the Moon's surface. Scale 1:10,000,000. Approximately 26x38 inches. Aeronautical Chart and Information Center (ACIC), USAF for NASA, March 1970

  • Notes: perhaps the best single visual representation of the goals and accomplishments of the apollo program, autographed by several who actually made the voyage to man's closest celestial neighbor.
The chart has been signed by a member from each Apollo crew that either flew to or landed on the Moon during missions that occurred between 1969 and the last year of the Apollo lunar program, 1972.
To represent their lunar orbit or lunar fly-by mission, the chart has been signed and inscribed by Stafford and Haise "Tom Stafford, Apollo X Cdr" (Commander) and "Fred Haise, Apollo 13 LMP" (Lunar Module Pilot), along bottom white border. A member from each lunar landing crew has marked their landing area then signed and inscribed the chart "Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI LMP"; "Alan Bean, Apollo XII LMP"; "Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 LMP"; "Dave Scott, Apollo 15 CDR"; "Charles M. Duke, Jr., Apollo 16 LMP"; and "Gene Cernan, Apollo 17 CDR." A magnificent multiple Apollo crew signed chart.
