Folio, 12¾x9 inches, publisher's morocco-backed pictorial boards, worn; no title, plates foxed, soiled, and with occasional pencil graffiti. Zurich, circa 1880

Recueil d'Estampes Disposees en Tableaux Synoptiques Pour l'Instruction de la Jeunesse. 40 double-page hand-colored engraved plates of household goods, architecture, costume, natural history, and botany mounted recto/verso with purple cloth selvage and guards. Folio, 13x8½ inches, contemporary half roan, rebacked with original spine laid on; occasional stain, light offsetting. Rare and more exceptional in contrast to these others. Esslingen, circa 1835
