Spectacular modernist album containing 110 photographs of the construction of the Chrysler Building, from its humble beginnings as a girder skeleton to its epic towering rise, with close-ups of its gleaming stainless steel dome and stunning full length architectural views of the completed American architectural icon. Silver prints, 7x9 inches (17.8x22.9 cm.), and the reverse, mounted on linen, many with numerical notations, the photographers' credit (Peyser & Patzig, Inc. N.Y.), descriptive text including the the builder's name (Fred T. Ley & Co. Inc.), or the floor level and date, in the negative. Oblong small leatherette folio, twin bolt binding. 1928-1930
