Early turn-of-the-century engineering album containing approximately 60 images of Manhattan and Long Island City, with fascinating photographs of the construction of subway tunnels and bridges (many featuring the men who built these transportation marvels), and a wonderful picture of horse-drawn carriages, with Macy's in the background. Silver prints, 9 1/2x7 1/2 inches (24.1x19.1 cm.), and the reverse; mounted recto only, many with handwritten or typed notations on the verso of the linen mount. Oblong small folio with cellotape overlaid cloth, worn; triple bolt binding. 1905-1909
