(NEW YORK.) Group of 2 land grant patents from upstate New York. Various sizes, both vellum, signed by Sir Henry Moore as Governor of New York and bearing the attached papered Great Seal of King George III. New York, 1768 and 1769

  • Notes: Patent to Thomas and Cornelius Eckerson for 3,000 acres then in Albany County (now in Montgomery County near Fort Hunter), south of the Mohawk River and west of Schoharie Creek, "near a rill called by the Indians Canagharagarie." Manuscript document on two leaves, 570 x 800 mm and 100 x 670 mm. 22 April 1768 * Patent to Samuel Stringer for 2,000 acres then bordering the southwest corner of Rensselaerwyck west of the Hudson River (now near Conesville in Schoharie County), granted for service as an apothecary's mate in the French and Indian War. Partly-printed document, 300 x 480 mm. 20 January 1769.
