  • Notes: Depicts a train crossing over John A. Roebling's Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge (completed in 1855), with the falls in the background. The bridge's full statistical profile is given below, including the weight of materials used. It was the first railway suspension bridge in the world. No others found at auction, and only 2 library copies traced. A related print was also produced using the same title, without the caption text but with additional illustrations, for which one copy appears in OCLC. Provenance: Owls Head Transportation Museum auction, 28 June 2007, lot 185.
