Group of 8 albums, 7 entitled "Catskill Water Works," containing more than 490 photographs, including 160 cyanotypes, with a substantial number of industrial views, scenes of pressure tunnel construction, immigrant and African-American workers in the tunnels, the Ashokan reservoir, work camps, plus ceremonies and portraits of officials associated with the project; with typewritten captions on the facing page. Silver, cyanotype, and printing-out paper prints, 7x9 inches and the reverse, most with a caption, date, and inventory number in the negative. Circa 1900-13

  • Notes: The cyanotype album, which is entitled "Department of Water Supply, Gas & Electricity," spans 1909-1911, and includes a typed caption affixed to the back of each print.
