  • Notes: each inscribed and signed by nickle to magician le commandeur bernard marius cazeneuve on the verso, "To My Professional Friend. M. Cazeneuve. With Compliments. Robert Nickle."
    Nickle was a noted American magician who died at an early age. The cabinet cards are Inscribed and Signed to Le Commandeur Cazeneuve (1839-1913), a well-known French magician and mentalist, who toured the United States. He authored "A la cour de Madagascar, Magie et Diplomatie" (1896), a memoir of his tour of Madagascar.
