Condition B+: repaired tears in margins; restored pin-holes in top margin; minor discoloration in image. Japan.
A prominent designer out of the Basel School, Stoecklin was a versatile artist who is mainly remembered as the master of Neue Sachlichkeit (New Objectivity). He also showed great proficiency with simple, pictographic elements, which could make a powerful impression using minimum imagery. Stoecklin 49, Schweiz p. 255, Revue 1926 p. 40.
